How often am I charged for the number I purchase?
The fee listed is a once off payment only. There are no other costs involved after the initial purchase is made.
Can I stay with my current service provider when purchasing My Number?
All numbers from My Number are conditioned to be used on any service provider with-in Australia. There are some variables involved in this process. Different service providers allow you to port on top of existing contracts, others do not. Do I have to connect the number to a service provider?
You need to connect the number within three months of purchase once the number is released.
Have these numbers ever been used before?
All of our numbers are NEW numbers; they have not been connected before.
Can I buy a number as a gift and put the number in the other persons’ name?
Yes, you can purchase a number as a gift, however to connect the number we need authority and 100 points of ID of the person who is connecting the service.
Can I replace my current number with My Number?
You may replace your number if you’re not locked into a contract SUBJECT TO CARRIER'S APPROVAL. Please contact 1300 4 MYNUMBER or 048888 2 BUY (289) for more information.
How long does it take to receive My Number?
Once a purchase is made one of our Friendly staff will contact you to organize the connection. This process may take up to 5 Business days.
How long does the porting process take?
The porting process can take anywhere between 2 to 74 hours (If accepting service provider system is down the porting maybe delayed).
Do I need to fill out any paper work?
Yes, please complete the Acceptable ID form and scan your 100 points of ID and e-mail them to
support@mynumber.com.au or fax it to 02 9024 2388.
Can I sell a number to My Number?
No, My Number does not purchase numbers.
Can I use My Number overseas?
You may be able to use your number overseas if
your service provider supports international roaming
and it’s active on your account.
